On Wednesday 7 January 2026 City of Myrtle Beach held their groundbreaking ceremony for the proposed Vietnam Veterans Memorial located within War Bird Park in Market Common. There were approximately 300 Veterans and guest attending this event. The weather was like a spring day but in January. The Memorial is anticipated to be completed by Veterans Day 2026, but the weather will be the big factor in the construction of the memorial. Below are some pictures of this event.

For all you Vietnam Marine Veterans that live in Myrtle Beach area. The City of Myrtle Beach is proposing a Vietnam Memorial at Warbird Memorial Park, Market Common. This is the final design of the Memorial. The projrct should start sometime in 2025. The anticipated completion is Veterans Day 2026
